Delete your account and personal data

You can start account deletion in the app or remove individual memories and chats without deleting the whole account.

Delete the complete account

  1. Open GAIST and select Profile in the bottom navigation.
  2. Open the Profile tab and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm the dialog.
30-day recovery period

Deletion does not lock you out immediately. The account is deactivated and scheduled for deletion. During the following 30 days, sign in with the same credentials and confirm reactivation if you change your mind.

After the period, profile data, personal data, memories and chats are permanently removed. Generated persona artwork, tarot cards and other creative assets may remain only when they no longer contain or expose personal account data and are no longer linked to your account.

Delete only memories or chats

  1. Open Profile and select Manage Data.
  2. Use the trash icon beside a memory to remove it.
  3. Use the trash icon beside a persona conversation to remove that chat history.

Deleted memories and chat histories are removed permanently from the account. If you cannot access the app, email gaistnet@gmail.com from the address associated with the account. Identity verification may be required before a request is processed.

What account deletion does not cancel automatically

Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel a subscription managed by Google Play or Apple. Manage store subscriptions separately in the relevant store account. Statutory records required for accounting, payment, fraud prevention or legal claims may be retained for the applicable period.
