1. Controller and contact
Judith Perl – Sole Proprietorship, Josef-Steinberger-Weg 17, 8054 Graz, Austria. Email: gaistnet@gmail.com.
2. Data we process
This may include your name or pseudonym, email address and password hash; language, theme and notification preferences; timestamps and technical logs; birth data and selections used for astrology or tarot; chat messages and memories; device information and optional push tokens. GAIST does not deliberately request special-category data. Information you voluntarily enter into a chat is processed as content data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Data is used to provide and secure the app, manage accounts, personalize requested content, answer support requests, process optional notifications and purchases, prevent abuse and investigate errors. Depending on the feature, processing is based on contract performance, consent, a legal obligation or legitimate interests in secure and stable operation under Article 6 GDPR.
4. AI services and recipients
Inputs required for chat, horoscope, tarot or image features may be transferred to AI providers, including OpenAI, to generate the requested result. Other recipients can include hosting providers, monitoring services, app stores, Google/AdMob, Stripe or fulfillment partners where the relevant function is used. AI output can be inaccurate, outdated or biased and is generally not manually reviewed.
5. International transfers
Where providers process information outside the EU/EEA, GAIST relies on an applicable adequacy decision or suitable safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures where required.
6. Retention
Account data is generally retained while the account exists. Chat and content data is retained as needed for the selected functions or until deleted through available controls. Technical logs are normally retained for a limited security and troubleshooting period. Statutory accounting or tax retention duties remain unaffected.
7. Your rights
You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent under Articles 15–21 GDPR. Contact the address above. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
8. Children, security and updates
The app is generally intended for people aged 16 and over; younger users require the legally necessary guardian involvement. GAIST uses appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated when features or legal requirements change.
